Kiho has 30 years of professional experience in health and wellbeing industry both of humans and animals starting as a vet at Seoul. After studying pharmacology as his specialty, he joined a biotech institute to develop a new drug for arrhythmias by modulating electrical energy flow in the heart. The project was expanded through his PhD thesis, in which the role of the autonomic nervous system in heart disease was researched. He moved to New Zealand to continue his research on neuroendocrinology at Otago. His primary interest was to understand electrical circuits in the hypothalamus, a part of the brain in charge of the body's homeostasis. The body maintains health by keeping homeostasis through negative or positive functional feedback loops contributed by the interplay between the neuroendocrine and the autonomic nervous systems. If the body fails in maintaining homeostasis, it experiences chronic conditions. Bowen Therapy is effective in restoring compromised homeostasis of the body by relieving neuromyofascial tension, which significantly underlies chronic body conditions both in humans and animals.
